Privacy Policy

This policy explains how STARLUXE handles information when you use the game and its support features.

Information stored on your device

STARLUXE stores game information on your device, including your nickname, selected avatar, settings, game progress, earned stars, virtual currencies, inventory, companion choice, ship rank and Ad-Free status. This allows your progress and preferences to continue between sessions.

Optional cloud progress

If you choose Star Sync, STARLUXE sends selected game progress to the STARLUXE backend so you can restore it on another device. Cloud progress can include your nickname, selected avatar, random game-generated player ID, Journey completion, unlocked games, earned virtual currencies and resources, companion and Dream Ship progress, retention progress and cosmetic selections. Star Sync does not copy Google Play purchase tokens, Ad-Free entitlement, advertising choices or device settings.

Star Sync uses a randomly generated 16-character Star Sync Key instead of an email account. The key acts like a password for the cloud save and should be kept private. The backend stores a one-way hash of the key rather than the readable key itself.

Online private duels

When you choose to use a private room-code duel, STARLUXE sends a random game-generated player ID, your chosen nickname and avatar, the room code, selected game and level, duel scores, result and related timestamps to the STARLUXE backend. This information is used only to create and operate the real two-player duel, prevent duplicate room actions and return the match result. Private duels do not include chat.

The STARLUXE backend is hosted on Render and uses PostgreSQL. Active duel rooms and Arena matches have a limited availability period; server records may be retained for service operation, security, troubleshooting and appropriate records. You can request deletion of backend duel, Arena or leaderboard information through the Support tab.

Support requests

If you submit the support form, we receive the details you choose to provide, such as your email address, issue category, subject and message. We use that information only to review and respond to the request, handle privacy or deletion requests, investigate technical problems and keep the service safe.

Children's privacy

STARLUXE is designed to be suitable for younger players. Solo game progress can remain on the device. Star Sync is optional and does not require an email account. If Star Sync, a private room-code duel or live Arena is used, the relevant game information is sent to the STARLUXE backend to provide that feature. Children should ask a parent or guardian to contact support for them and should not send a full name, school, home address, phone number, precise location or other sensitive information.

Advertising, purchases and platform services

STARLUXE may use app-store billing, advertising, crash reporting and other platform services. These services may process technical information needed to provide their features, such as device identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics or purchase information. Applicable store disclosures and provider notices explain those services where enabled.

Sharing and selling data

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the game, host the website, handle support submissions or provide platform features. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect users and the service.

Retention and deletion

Local game data remains on the device until it is cleared by the user or the browser/app storage is removed. Clearing local data does not automatically delete server-side private duel, Arena and leaderboard records. Support requests and backend duel records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, troubleshooting, appropriate records, legal obligations or protection of the service. You can request deletion of support or backend duel, Arena or leaderboard information from the Support tab.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information in transit and when handled by our service providers. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when STARLUXE features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when changes are made. For privacy questions or deletion requests, use the Support tab on this page.

Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of STARLUXE. By using the game, you agree to these Terms. Where a player is a child, a parent or guardian should review the Terms with them.

Licence to use STARLUXE

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use STARLUXE for private entertainment in accordance with these Terms.

Accounts, nicknames and player conduct

Use an appropriate nickname and do not use the game to impersonate another person, interfere with other players, exploit bugs, bypass security, manipulate competition results or attempt unauthorised access to the service.

Virtual items and currencies

Stars, coins, gems, companions, ship upgrades, power-ups and other virtual items are part of the game experience. They do not represent cash, have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money unless applicable law expressly requires otherwise.

Purchases and refunds

Where purchases are offered, payment processing is handled by the relevant app store or authorised payment provider. Prices, billing terms, subscriptions and refunds are subject to the terms and consumer rights that apply to that purchase platform and your location.

Advertising

STARLUXE may show advertising between levels or offer optional rewarded advertising. Where an Ad-Free purchase is available and activated, the game will remove the advertising covered by that purchase as described at the point of sale.

Intellectual property

STARLUXE, its original game design, artwork, branding, text, code, characters and other content are owned by or licensed to AMDGAMES LTD and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or commercially exploit them without permission.

Availability and changes

We may improve, rebalance, add, remove or change game content and features. Online features may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates, outages or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Responsibility and consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, STARLUXE is provided for entertainment without a guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Suspension or termination

Access may be restricted where necessary to protect players, investigate misuse, comply with law or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we may take proportionate steps before ending access.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Support tab.
